Martim Vidigal

Martim Vidigal is the head of Vertigo Rock Climbing division.

He started to climb in 2002 when he was 15 and in 2011 became a UIAA certified climbing instructor.

He is also a talented adventure sports photographer.

His favourite crag around Lisbon is Meio Mango.

Ricardo Costa

Ricardo Costa was born in Terceira, Azores. In 2009, when he was 14, he started to climb in the basalt rocks of the island surrounded by its beautiful nature.

He graduated in Nature Sports and Active Tourism, and through guiding he finds a great way to share his passion and motivation for the outdoors and climbing.

Tiago Martins

Tiago Martins started to climb in 2004, by the age of 15, and never stopped since.

He became an accredited climbing monitor to UIAA Training Standards in 2011 and since then he introduced hundreds of people to climbing.

He is currently manager at Vertigo Climbing Center.

Pedro Alves

Pedro Alves was born in Sintra, one of the most incredible sites in Portugal both for Boulder, Sport and Trad climbing. Sooner or later he would therefore come across climbing and that came to happen in 2010, when he first attended to a Begginners Climbing Course.

Pedro holds a degree in Physical Education and Sports and was the founder member of Troublemakers. He is the Head Route Setter at Vertigo Climbing Center but recently he also got into bolting up new routes outdoors, namely in the amazing crag of Atlântida.

Filipe Medina

Filipe Medina started to climb in 2009 and instantly became addicted to it. In 2015 he earned his accreditation as UIAA climbing monitor through SAFE Association.

Medina is currently working in Vertigo Climbing Center both as climbing monitor and route setter, being one of the members of Troublemakers. He loves travelling and being on the mountains.

Teaching climbing is one of the best ways for sharing his most ravishing passion. 

Nuno Batista

Nuno Batista is an anesthesiologist doctor who first discovered climbing in 2006. Since then he travelled all around in pursuit of the best spots with the most aesthetic lines he could find. From Rodellar, in Spain, to Kalymnos, in Greece he already climbed in countries such as Morocco, Croatia, Slovenia and Poland.

He is manager at Vertigo Climbing Center and beyond climbing his other interests are music, physics and windsurf.
